The Akin Free Library is always looking for volunteers, especially in the following areas:

·      Docents for weekends from April to November

·      Removing things from the attic storage

·      Cleaning up basement storage area

·      Cleaning dusty books

·      Removing window UV filters

·      Help processing genealogy folders

·      Digitizing images and documents

·      Typing (data entry and copying)

·      Public relations for events (Press releases and social media)

·      Care taking the Olive Gunnison exhibit

·      Housekeeping

·      Gardening
