Master Storyteller Jonathan Kruk will offer a program for adult seekers. Selections for this first event feature fables from Aesop, parables of Jesus and Jataka Tales from past lives of the compassionate Buddha.
All religions are based on the truth found in myths. Often tales lead with examples of ways to find inner peace. This is the first of a storytelling series showing paths toward enlightenment, performed in the intriguing setting of The Akin Free Library.
Kruk has been engaging audiences for thirty years with authentic fairy tales, the lore of the Hudson, and dramatic solos, at Sleepy Hollow. He's been featured on the Today Show, the BBC, and CBS Sunday Morning. He appeared last year at The Akin Free Library with gritty love stories for broken hearts.
Kruk will be accompanied by Steve "Shiva" Kelman on various stringed instruments.
